Wedding accessories are often highly important to the bride and to the overall wedding day in general. Wedding accessories can be anything from bridal party gifts to a cake topper. There are so many wedding accessories to choose from it can be a little overwhelming sometimes but the few extra minutes you spend on picking some accessories will really make a great difference to your wedding. With so many things to choose from you can really go that extra mile to insure your wedding day will be perfect.

Some accessories that are often most important for the bride are the wedding shoes, their veil and their wedding jewelry. These are often on the top of the list and should be taken care of right away so you can worry about other things. Other accessories that brides often worry about is having a garter, giving their bridesmaids some gifts and even tiaras. Some great bridesmaids gifts would be candles, a picture frame or even a piece of  jewelry. Some brides like to get personalized shirts and pants that read bride or the name of their soon to be husband.

Some important wedding accessories for the grooms include gifts for their groomsmen, cuff links, and shoes. A great option for groomsmen gifts would be a nice money clip, an engraved pen set or even a tie clip. Many times the grooms wedding accessories are a second thought to the brides accessories but they are very important also. The groom’s accessories are just as important to having a perfect day as the brides.

Some other wedding accessories that are top priority are the invitations, the table place cards and if the bride and groom want special toasting glasses. Some fun accessories many couples choose to use is a guest signing book where guests can sign their name and leave a small note of congratulations. Some couples also like to give their guests some party favors. Some great wedding accessories that work well for party favors are photo albums, a set of glass cups or even home baked goods wrapped up in cute wedding bags. Many couples also make their centerpieces a top priority. They are something that sit on the table in front of your guests all night so they are rather important.

Overall there are dozens and dozens of wedding accessories to choose from and they do make a significant difference to your wedding and wedding party. Some are a necessity such as shoes but others are just fun to add to the wedding. Your wedding day is a memorable and exciting time and you want it to be a great day that you will never forget. With that being said be sure to get all the wedding accessories you want and need to make it your perfect day.

It’s the object you hope the groomsmen use often, and in doing so remember you and the great time they had at your wedding party. But with millions of options, what does one choose? Here are three tips for getting the right gift.

1) Consider what the groomsmen have in common. This is easier if all the groomsmen are the groom’s buddies, but there’s usually one or more outliers – the future brother-in-law maybe. However, most guys share many things in common like drinking, sports or employment. The monogrammed beer stein or shot glass is a sure crowd pleaser. Don’t be shy to ask the brother-in-law’s sister or mother if he’d like what you’re thinking of buying.

2) Be practical. You want the gift to be used daily, if possible, but you don’t want to make it easy to lose or require maintenance. A pen might seem like a great idea but pens travel and are easily lent or lost. I’ve lost my share of pens to carelessness and theft. Similarly, my desk drawer is full of pens for which I never bothered to buy ink refills. Consider buying something that sits on a guy’s desk like a letter opener or a paper weight. A personalized wallet is a great practical gift choice as well.

3) Consider his hobby. Be careful here, he may already have a few of what you’re thinking of buying. However, nothing says “I really gave this some thought” like when you buy a hobby related gift. Speak to someone with the same hobby about what they’d like to receive.

Some don’ts: Don’t be tacky, you’re sure to alienate some and possibly insult others. Don’t forget to run the gift idea by the bride. She’s likely to support you but remember it’s a gift from both of you. Don’t break the bank. Some of the most expensive gifts one can get are also the most impractical – how much usage can someone get out of martini mixing set. On the other hand, some of the most beloved gifts are the least expensive, like a golf divot tool or a monogrammed Swiss Army knife.

A last point to consider. The mens gifts decision shouldn’t be rushed. This is a special time and you want the special few you’ve chosen to be your groomsmen to remember you. If the gift is forgetful so too will be the memory. Choose wisely and make this a gift to remember for a lifetime.
