Newlywed Kitchen – What to Buy
| Published in Wedding Party Thoughts
The wedding is but one of the things in your life which you will be asked to organize. Your new home and kitchen will require attention, too.
For your newlywed kitchen – what counter-top appliances to buy may be the first thing you have in mind. Well basically you can have one to two of the following equipment:
Coffee Maker
Cutting Boards
Vegetable or Fruit Slicer or Shredder
Toaster
Juicers or Mixer
Microwave
These things are commonly found in every household. Your budget would determine the type of hand mixer or stand mixer that you can buy. Also if you just want to prepare your juice and get out of the kitchen right after, then perhaps purchase the basic and inexpensive appliances. Leave the pricey ones to the pro or at least to those who enjoy being in the kitchen.
Next, what are the types of food you enjoy preparing? Some people like to bake while some are into salads and healthy fruit juices, these would require totally different appliances from one another. For baking you can also shop for different kitchen tools like cookie cutter, rolling pin and so forth.
Instead of a simple microwave, a true home chef might appreciate having a countertop convection oven. As a newlywed couple, there are two of you voting now, so consider the interests of your spouse.
If you watch those home tv-shopping channels they would probably convince you to buy 10 of their counter-top appliances that you would probably not use anyway. Like are you seriously spend your precious time making pasta or ice cream when you could easily purchase them in store. You can do a survey among your friends as to which equipment stay on top of your counters.
Your lifestyle also influences your choice. If you eat rice often then get a rice cooker; for bread lovers you could use the toaster. If you want to prepare food in advanced and reheat food often then the microwave is vital in your kitchen.
To save up, you can also buy multi-purpose equipment like a blender that also acts as juicer which would also take up less space on your kitchen counter.
Before setting out to buy kitchen things yourselves, it might be a good idea to wait and see what wedding presents you receive. You may end up well on your way to the dream kitchen you desire after opening all those wedding party gifts.
